Unzen Hot Springs

Unzen is a volcanic area in the Nagasaki Prefecture, south of Fukuoka. We stopped there on the way back from Nagasaki.

Just outside the centre of the town, there is a walking trail that takes you through the hot springs. We were unable to walk around the whole trail because some of the paths had been damaged by landslides.

At the end of the trail, in the courtyard of a hotel, there’s a public foot bath filled with hot water from the springs.
