Ryu-Kyu style dining

Pork & boiled egg

Okinawan cuisine at 一会 (Ichikai ?) in Kabukichō, Shinjuku.

According to the restaurant page it’s 2 minutes from Shinjuku station’s east exit, but it took us the best part of an hour to find it, even with GPS navigation.

That’s two minutes if you know where you’re going, walk very fast and the crossing lights on Yasukuni dori are in your favour. Otherwise I’d say five.

There’s a great little Okinawan restaurant right around the corner from Bakusyu actually. Have been there a couple times with friends and the food has always been great and the waitstaff extremely courteous.
